CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati volleyball head coach Danijela Tomić has announced the signing of transfer setter Andi Spies ahead of the 2025 season.
Spies, a native of Fort Atkinson, Wis., joins the Bearcats after spending her freshman season at Middle Tennessee.

Her versatility and competitive spirit will make an immediate impact on our program. We are excited to see her grow and contribute to the success of UC Volleyball."
Spies is coming off an impressive rookie season, earning Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors. She was also named to the Second Team All-Conference and All-Freshman teams. Throughout the season, she was recognized as Conference USA Setter of the Week once and Freshman of the Week five times.
She played in all 31 matches and 119 sets as the team's starting setter. She led all freshman setters in C-USA with 1,115 assists, ranking fourth on the program's 25-point era single-season record list. She finished third in the conference in aces (44) and third on the team in digs (269). She became the first student-athlete in MTSU history to record a triple-double, posting 38 assists, 11 kills and 11 digs against SEMO. She recorded 50 or more assists in three matches and tallied 15 double-doubles.
Before Middle Tennessee, she played club for Capital Volleyball Academy, where she was a two-time AAU All-American. In high school at Fort Atkinson, she totaled 1,730 kills, 1,260 assists, 503 digs, 164 blocks and 99 aces.
