CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati baseball program caps a seven-game homestand this weekend with a three-game series vs. UCF.

First pitch for the opener on Friday is set for 6:00 p.m., Saturday's game will begin at 3:00 p.m., and the finale on Sunday will start at 1:00 p.m. All three games will be on ESPN+. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye on Cincinnati Baseball's social media channels for any potential schedule updates or changes.

Cincinnati and UCF met for the first time as Big 12 Conference members last year in Orlando and UC took two out of three games. Prior to that, these two teams were conference rivals in the American Athletic Conference.

The Bearcats are coming off an exhilarating 12-2 win vs. No. 18 Louisville on Tuesday, their third ranked victory of the year. Three ranked wins are the most for UC since the 2019 season.

Tuesday's victory was also the third win at home over a ranked Louisville team since 2017. UC defeated the No. 1-ranked Cardinals in 2017 and walked off the No. 5-ranked Cardinals in 2021.

Kerrington Cross continued his torrid pace at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored against the Cardinals. It was his fourth consecutive multi-hit game, and he's now 10-for-17 over his last four games. One of the Big 12's leaders in hitting this season, Cross' batting average now stands at .425.

On the mound, Friday's projected starting pitcher Nathan Taylor ranks fourth in the Big 12 in strikeouts (42) and fifth in ERA (2.35).

Following play this weekend, Cincinnati will visit Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday before traveling to Texas Tech next weekend.
