CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team is back home this weekend to host Arizona State for three games at UC Baseball Stadium.
First pitch for the opener on Friday is set for 6:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. contest on Saturday and a 1:00 p.m. game on Sunday. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
This marks the first-ever meeting between UC and ASU on the diamond.
Saturday's game will be part of an exciting day on campus, with several events taking place during UC's "Spring Showcase". Because of the increased activity around campus, gates will open 90 minutes prior to first pitch on Saturday as opposed to the usual 60 minutes.
The Spring Showcase, presented by Skyline Chili, will be highlighted by an open football practice at Nippert Stadium beginning at noon, the Saturday battle between UC and ASU at UC Baseball Stadium, and Bearcats at the Ballpark that night at Great American Ballpark. Cincinnati natives Joe Royer and Dontay Corleone will throw out the first pitch and first-year volleyball coach Danijela Tomic will present the game ball at the Reds vs. Pirates game that night.
Following this weekend's action, Cincinnati hosts Xavier on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m.

For the second year in a row, Cincinnati's Joe Nuxhall Classic experience was cut short due to rain. This year, UC lost its first game vs. Wright State on Tuesday, 10-3, and had its game on Wednesday vs. Miami canceled in the top of the fifth inning and ruled a no contest.
Prior to that, the Bearcats took two out of three at Texas Tech last weekend to win their second straight Big 12 series. The top performance of the weekend came from Kellen O'Connor, who threw a complete game in the game two victory. It was the first nine-inning complete game by a Big 12 pitcher this season and the first by a UC pitcher since 2022.
