CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati lacrosse stars Lauren Ottensmeyer and Paige Selhorn earned Big 12 Weekly Awards, the league announced Tuesday.
Both athletes notched their second Big 12 weekly accolade of the year as they continue to be strong leaders for the Bearcats.
Ottensmeyer matched a career-high seven goals as she powered Cincinnati to its first program Big 12 win over San Diego State. She leads the team with 57 goals and has recorded 11 hat tricks this season. The graduate student is second in the conference in goals per game with 3.80 avg/g.
Selhorn continues to shine in her rookie year, tailing 42 total assists with a 2.80 avg/g. She sits third in the Big 12 for assists per game and fourth in points per game (4.19 avg/g). The Westbury, N.Y. native has recorded three or more assists in nine games including three, five assist performances.
Cincinnati remains on the road as they face off against No. 4 Florida on Saturday, April 19. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m.
