TicketsCINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati junior Christian Mitchelle has been named to the watch list for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year award, the College Baseball Foundation announced this week.
It marks the second straight season Mitchelle has been recognized for his work as a two-way player. He was one of 35 players selected to this year's watch list.
Mitchelle has made 31 starts in the field at five different positions, with the bulk of his starts coming in left field (15) and at third base (10). His counting stats include two home runs, 17 RBI, seven doubles, 17 runs scored, 14 walks, and six stolen bases. On the mound, Mitchelle has appeared in six games and has two saves.
The winner of the 2025 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award will be announced on June 17.

The John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award is presented annually by the College Baseball Foundation to honor the nation's top combo pitcher-position player. Recent winners include Caden Grice (Clemson, 2023), Paul Skenes (Air Force, 2022), and Spencer Schwellenbach (Nebraska, 2021).
Olerud, who was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, was a standout pitcher and first baseman at Washington State University from 1987 through 1989.
