CINCINNATI – Cincinnati men's basketball head coach Wes Miller has announced the signing of veteran guard Jalen Celestine for the 2025-26 season.

Celestine, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound native of Ajax, Ontario, spent the 2024-25 season at Baylor, appearing in 31 games while averaging 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds. He shot 35.4 percent from three and 78.6 percent at the foul line while logging 25 minutes per contest for the Bears.

He comes to Cincinnati shooting 38.1 percent on three-point attempts across 111 career games.

"Jalen is a big-time wing," said head coach Wes Miller. "He has a ton of experience at the highest levels of college basketball, and he understands how to win. His positional size and ability to guard multiple positions will be extremely important to our team. Offensively, Jalen is very dynamic. His three-point shooting speaks for itself, but he also has a strong combination of ball skills and playmaking that will add to our team."

He previously played three seasons at California, including a career-best year in 2023-24 when he started 23 games and averaged 8.7 points and 3.2 rebounds on 44 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He missed the 2022-23 season due to injury.

Celestine played prep basketball at Long Island Lutheran (N.Y.), averaging 12 points, five rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 44 percent from deep. He also competed for NY Jayhawks AAU squad and Nike UPlay Canada on the EYBL circuit, averaging 16 points, six rebounds and three assists in 2019.
