CINCINNATI – Cincinnati men's basketball head coach Wes Miller has announced the addition of 7-foot-2 center Moustapha Thiam to the Bearcats' 2025-26 roster.

Thiam, a native of Dakar, Senegal, comes to Clifton after one season at UCF, where he appeared in 34 games as a true freshman. He averaged 10.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and a conference-best 2.6 blocks per game in 28.7 minutes per contest for the Knights.

Thiam notched double-doubles in three games, including a 14-point, 11-rebound performance in a win over Utah in the Big 12 tournament. He recorded five or more blocks in six games, including six in his collegiate debut against No. 13 Texas A&M and eight in a victory over Kansas State on February 26.

"Moustapha is an elite frontcourt player," said head coach Wes Miller. "He's already proven that he can have a major impact in Big 12 games, and what's so exciting is that he's just scratching the surface of what he can do on a basketball court. He has an extremely rare combination of size, athleticism and skill. His versatility on both ends of the floor will be a major factor in our team's attack next season."

Prior to college, Thiam starred at DME Academy (Fla.), where he averaged 14.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.1 blocks and 2.3 assists per contest in his final season. He was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 6 center nationally in the 2024 class by ESPN. On3 ranked him as the No. 1 center in the transfer portal this spring.
