CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team hosts Oklahoma State this weekend in Big 12 Conference action at UC Baseball Stadium.

First pitch for the opener on Friday is set for 6:00 p.m. Game two on Saturday will begin at 3:00 p.m., and Sunday's finale will start at 1:00 p.m. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+.

This marks the third series all-time between Cincinnati and Oklahoma State, but the first that UC is hosting. The two teams met for the first time in 1967 in Stillwater and played at Oklahoma State last year too. They also met at a neutral site early in the 1997 season.

Cincinnati is coming off a 14-4 run-rule win at home on Wednesday vs. Milwaukee. It was the second run-rule victory of the season for Cincinnati and the 10th time it has reached the double-digit run benchmark. The win snapped a five-game losing streak, but improved to 14-4 at home this season.

Following this weekend's series, Cincinnati will have a break from midweek baseball next week for final exams before embarking on a long road trip to visit Kansas (May 2-4), Oral Roberts (May 6), and TCU (May 9-11).

UC is tied with Baylor and Texas Tech for seventh and all three teams are two games back of Kansas State. Oklahoma State 2.5 games back in the standings.

The Big 12 Conference announced a new championship format last fall. In the new format, the top four seeds will receive a bye while the No. 5-12 seeds play four single elimination games in the first round.
