TicketsPHILADELPHIA — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams concluded day one at the Penn Relays hosted at Franklin Field Track on Thursday.
The Bearcats competed in the men's and women's hammer throw.
Graduate Student Orry Willems earned fourth place after unleashing a 64.16 m toss. Willems has been impressive in the hammer throw all season long.
On the women's side, senior Miranda Tcheutchoua earned seventh place with a mark of 58.17m, while graduate student Hannah Blood claimed 11th place after a throw of 55.63m.
UC will be back in action at the Penn Relays on Saturday, where they will compete in five events.
Graduate student Amanda Ngandu Ntumba will represent the Bearcats in both the discus (9:30 a.m. ET) and shot put (12:30 p.m. ET) events.
Shot put specialists Fred Moudani-Likibi and Korbin Spencer compete in the shot put at 2:30 p.m. ET. Spencer is also participating in the discus at 11:30 a.m. ET.
At 3:30 p.m. ET, senior Ryan Rieckmann is set to participate in the Javelin.
