CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati men's basketball head coach Wes Miller announced today the hiring of Mamadou N'Diaye as an assistant coach for the Bearcats.

A native of Dakar, Senegal, N'Diaye brings more than a decade of coaching experience at the Division I level and a track record of impactful recruiting.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mamadou N'Diaye to Cincinnati," said Miller. "His experience at every level of basketball makes him a tremendous asset to our program. He's not only a respected coach, but also an elite mentor and recruiter. Our team and staff will benefit greatly from his leadership and knowledge of the game."

A former NBA veteran and standout at Auburn University, N'Diaye joins the Bearcats following a four-year stint at UCF, where he was elevated to Associate Head Coach in 2024. While in Orlando, he played a pivotal role in developing frontcourt talent and was instrumental in international recruiting.

"I am incredibly excited to join Coach Miller and the Bearcats family," said N'Diaye. "Cincinnati has a proud basketball tradition, and I look forward to helping this program continue its ascent in the Big 12 and on the national stage."

Prior to UCF, N'Diaye served as an assistant coach at Georgia Tech, San Francisco, and Coastal Carolina. During his tenure at San Francisco, the Dons posted consecutive 20-win seasons and reached the postseason in 2020 and 2021.

As a player, N'Diaye starred at Auburn from 1996 to 2000, earning All-SEC honors and helping the Tigers to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 1999. He was selected 26th overall in the 2000 NBA Draft and played five seasons in the NBA, suiting up for the Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Clippers before playing six seasons in international basketball.
