FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Cincinnati baseball team dropped game two of its weekend series at TCU on Saturday, falling by a score of 7-6 on a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth.

The game started with a home run and ended with a home run, as junior Landyn Vidourek launched the first pitch of the day over the wall in left field to give UC an early lead. The game was tied at 6-6 heading into the bottom of the ninth, and TCU's Anthony Silva hit the last pitch of the day out to left field for a walk-off homer to end the game.

Vidourek's homer was his 13th of the season, most on the team, and his fourth in the last seven games. Senior Tommy O'Connor also homered, his second straight game with a home run. Redshirt senior Kerrington Cross reached base three times, walking twice and notching a single.

Redshirt senior Kellen O'Connor made the start and struck out five in six innings of work.

The series is set to wrap up on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. ET

// HOW IT HAPPENED
For the fifth straight game, Cincinnati scored in the first inning to take an early lead. This time it was Landyn Vidourek who did the damage, hitting the first pitch of the game over the left field wall.

TCU responded in the bottom of the first with a solo homer of its own to tie the game at 1-1.

The Bearcats grabbed the lead again in the top of the second, scoring three runs to go up 4-1. Kerrington Cross drew a bases-loaded walk, then Jack Natili drove in two with a base hit. The Horned Frogs scored another run in the bottom half of the inning on a sacrifice fly, but Vidourek shortened the inning by throwing out the runner trying to advance to third. While the run still scored to make it 4-2, Vidourek's outfield assist was the second out and helped cut a potential TCU rally short.

The Horned Frogs tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run home run, but Tommy O'Connor broke the tie with a two-run shot of his own in the top of the fifth. O'Connor crushed the first pitch he saw out to right field to give UC a 6-3 advantage.

TCU used the long ball three more times to eventually win the game. A solo homer in the bottom of the fifth made it a two-run game, then a two-run shot in the sixth tied the game at 6-6. Neither team scored again until Anthony Silva's home run in the bottom of the ninth ended the game.
