CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams are ready to compete in Lawrence, Kansas, at Rock Chalk Park for the Big 12 Outdoor Championships this week.

The competition kicks off Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET with multi events, followed by field events at 1 p.m. ET and running events at 7:30 p.m. ET. Friday's schedule begins with multi events at 12 p.m. ET, succeeded by field events starting at 5 p.m. ET and running events at 6 p.m. ET. Sunday's action starts with field events at 3 p.m. ET, while running events kick off at 6:05 p.m. ET.
 
The Bearcats will travel 45 athletes to the meet, 28 men and 17 women.

The Bearcats claimed three event victories and recorded five UC all-time top 10 marks at the Jesse Owens Invitational.

Graduate student Orry Willems strengthened his grasp on Cincinnati's hammer throw record after he unleashed a personal best toss of 65.39m to earn first place in the event.

In the shot put, graduate student Fred Moudani-Likibi notched first place after he garnered a mark of 18.38m. Freshman Patrick Kiprop outpaced the field as he took home the victory in the 5000m, registering a time of 14:01.51.

The Bearcats shined in the 800m. Three Bearcats finished in order, claiming second, third and fourth. Freshman Calvin Kilgallon led the charge with a 1:52.83 to take second. Sophmore Gianni Allwein followed close behind,
clocking 1:53.63 for third. Junior Seth Elking rounded out the trio, grabbing fourth with a strong 1:53.89 finish.

Some of the Bearcats' sprinters split off and competed in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Horned Frog Invitational.

Cincinnati notched three new UC top ten times.

Sophomore Davenae Fagan earned a victory in the 400m dash after she logged a blazing time of 53.18 seconds.

Impressing in two events, freshman Macaela Walker clocked top-three finishes in the 100m and 400m hurdles. Walker earned the victory in the 100m hurdles after crossing the finish line in 13.34 seconds, moving her to fourth all-time in UC history. She got third place in the 400m hurdles, clocking a 59.26.

Junior Kya Epps moved up the Bearcat record book ranks after scorching the track with a mark of 11.41 seconds, placing her fourth in the event. Epps now has the second fastest time in school history. Naquille Harris captured
fourth in the 200m, posting a 21.28.
