CINCINNATI – Cincinnati redshirt senior defensive tackle Dontay Corleone was named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watchlist on Wednesday.

This is the second straight season Corleone has been picked to the preseason watchlist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. He is one of 42 players across college football picked to the list.

Corleone, who earned his undergraduate degree from UC last December, was named all-conference for the third straight season in 2024, collecting First Team All-Big 12 honors. He was also named an honorable mention All-American by Phil Steele, his second season receiving All-America distinctions. He totaled 26 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks and overcame a difficult offseason that saw him sidelined with blood clots for three months. He was cleared to return to the playing field on Sept. 3 and made his season debut just days later vs. Pitt.

"The Godfather" burst onto the college football scene as a redshirt freshman in 2022, collecting Associated Press All-America Third Team and consensus Freshman All-America honors. He was the nation's highest-rated defensive player according to PFF.
