CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s soccer program announced the official hiring of assistant coach Ella Rogers.

Returning to her home state of Ohio, Rogers joins Cincinnati after completing her senior season at Arkansas, where she competed as a midfielder.

“I’m excited to be on the other side of the game, stepping into the coaching role for the first time,” Rogers said. “It’s a great opportunity to grow and learn from an incredible staff, and I’m ready to help this team win games.”

During her season with the Razorbacks, she recorded one goal and three assists and posted a .429 shots-on-goal percentage. Rogers also suited up for the Razorbacks’ women’s basketball team in 2024, making three appearances.

“We are extremely excited to have Ella join our staff for season three of the Big 12,” Demers said. “Ella has played at two top universities in her collegiate career and will bring a wealth of competitive experience. She comes to UC recommended by well-respected coaches, and we have seen these attributes come to fruition in the first few days."

Prior to Arkansas, Rogers spent three seasons at Xavier, where she started 65 games and tallied eight goals, 93 shots (39 on goal), and three game-winning goals. Rogers earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Second Team All-BIG EAST and All-Freshman Team honors. She helped Xavier capture the 2021 BIG EAST Regular Season Championship and secure the program's first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

She is a 2024 graduate of Arkansas and earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies.
