CINCINNATI — Two Bearcats, returning speedster Evan Pryor and newcomer Tawee Walker, have been named to the Doak Walker Award's Preseason Watch List, presented annually to the nation's top running back.

Pryor was the home-run hitter for the Bearcats' offense last year, scoring four touchdowns of 55 or more yards. Three of those came on the ground against Towson, Miami (OH) and Arizona State, and he also had an 80-yard catch-and-run against West Virginia. His 7.46 yards per carry ranked second in the Big 12 among qualified players, and he added a 40-yard reception against Colorado. The Cornelius, N.C., native was also a CSC Academic All-District honoree last year.

Walker was All-Big Ten Honorable Mention at Wisconsin last year, starting nine games and rushing for 864 yards with 10 touchdowns (nine in league play). The North Las Vegas native had consecutive three-score games against Purdue and Rutgers, including 198 yards against the Scarlet Knights. Prior to the Badgers, he spent two years at Oklahoma, scoring a touchdown at Nippert Stadium in 2023 while collecting a pair of 100-yard rushing games.

The Bearcats open in Kansas City on Thursday, August 28 against Nebraska (9 p.m. ET), followed by Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 6 for the home opener. Season and single-game tickets for the coming season are available here.
