Cincinnati men’s basketball head coach Wes Miller announced on Thursday the signing of Spanish wing Jordi Rodriguez.
The 6-foot-6 sharpshooter from Barcelona, Spain, averaged 13.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while teaming with current Bearcat Baba Miller to lead Team Spain to the championship at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup. Rodriguez shot 40% from three-point range and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
This past season, Rodriguez played for Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos and Joventut Badalona in the Spanish ACB and Primera FEB leagues, averaging 8.3 points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 41.5% from beyond the arc. He poured in 25 points and connected on 7-of-11 three-point attempts in a game this May.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jordi Rodriguez to our Cincinnati basketball family,” Miller said. “He brings versatility, playmaking, elite outside shooting and high-level international experience to our team. He’s played on some of the world’s biggest stages, and I expect him to make an instant impact on and off the court.”
Rodriguez and Miller are currently competing together in summer action with the Spanish National Team.
His addition brings the Bearcats’ 2025–26 roster to 15 players.
