CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team hits the road to compete in the Linda Herman Classic in Normal, Ill., beginning on Friday.
The Bearcats kick off the weekend with a Friday matchup against Illinois at 3 p.m. ET before facing Illinois State on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
All matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

- Cincinnati head coach Danijela Tomić is just one win shy of reaching 400 career victories. She is set to join a group of 47 active Division I coaches with 400 or more wins. Tomić recorded 236 wins at Bowling Green and 158 at FIU before arriving at UC.
- The University of Cincinnati women’s volleyball program extended its win streak to four after defeating Xavier on Tuesday night inside Fifth Third Arena.
- The Bearcats swept their crosstown rival behind an electric atmosphere of 2,208 fans.
- Senior Carly Glendinning paced the attack with 16 kills, joined by junior Sydney Nolan’s 14.
- At the net, sophomore Andi Spies chipped in 36 assists, her fourth consecutive match over 30.
- Sophomore Lilly Gillespie provided stability in the backcourt with 11 digs.
- Cincinnati has broken two opponents' undefeated streaks: Alabama (3-0) and Xavier (6-0).
- The Bearcats were named the 2025 Chattanooga Classic Champions after going 3-0.
- Sydney Nolan was dubbed the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player alongside Carly Glendinning, who earned a spot on the All-Tournament team.
- Nolan finished the three-match road stint with 53 kills, 22 digs and a .328 hitting percentage. Glendinning recorded 39 kills, 18 digs and eight blocks.
- Sophomore Andi Spies recorded a double-double vs. Alabama with 32 assists and 17 digs. She has tallied 30-plus assists in three consecutive matches. Against JSU, Spies notched 46 assists, just four short of her career high.
- Spies has collected 173 assists across four matches and 19 sets. She sits ninth in the Big 12 for total assists.
- Against Ohio, the Bearcats held the Bobcats’ offense to below .100 in the final three sets.
- Freshman Tatjana Simeunović grabbed a total of 16 blocks and 12 kills throughout the tournament.
- Sophomore Gretchen Sigman added 11 blocks and 18 kills, including a comeback set win against Alabama.
