CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis team is traveling to Waco, Texas to compete in the 2025 Big 12 Fall Championships from September 25-26 hosted by Baylor at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The Bearcats whole roster will be featured in this event.
Cincinnati last competed in the Big 12 Fall Championships in 2023, where the Bearcats picked up 18 overall victories during four days of singles and doubles play at the Hurd Tennis Center, matching up against the other 13 Big 12 schools for the first time. They finished with 15 singles victories with three each from Morgan Pyrz, junior Callie Flanagan and sophomore Rozalia Gruszczynska.

The Bearcats hosted Marshall, Louisville and Miami (OH).
Cincinnati claimed 11 singles wins and five doubles wins over the two-day event.
Freshman Tara Kurepa earned her first victory as a Bearcat in doubles alongside partner Morgan Pryz, and freshman Ana Arsic also secured her first win as a Bearcat in doubles, teaming with Milica Popovski on the first day versus Marshall. Freshman Caterina Greco notched her first win as a Bearcat on day two in singles over Miami (OH).
The duo of Kurepa and Pryz combined for two doubles wins (6-1 vs. Marshall and 6-3 vs. Louisville), while Popovski and Arsic (6-3 vs. Marshall) and Isabel Pacheco and Sakurako Watanabe (6-2 vs. Marshall) each contributed a doubles win.
Kurepa led the Bearcats in singles action with two victories over Louisville and Miami (OH). Arsic and Popovski each recorded two singles wins, while Pacheco contributed three singles victories and Greco added a win over Miami (OH) to end the weekend.
Junior Gabby Guenther concluded her first fall season tournament, competing at the ITA All-American Championships this past weekend.
Guenther fell in the first round to Wisconsin’s Tianna Rangan. In her first consolation match, she was defeated by Oklahoma State’s Marcela Lopez, concluding her time in North Carolina.
