CINCINNATI – Cincinnati lacrosse star attackers Camryn Callaghan and Lauren Ottensmeyer were named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American, the league announced Wednesday.
Ottensmeyer earned Third Team honors, while Callaghan received Honorable Mention. The honorees were determined by the USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors, with input from college coaches.
Callaghan, an Upper Arlington native, equaled her impressive performance from her freshman year in 2023 by scoring 56 goals, making her the fastest player in program history to reach 100 goals. She registered 11 hat tricks last season alongside a .853 shot on goal percentage. The 56 goals are tied for fourth in single-season program history.
Ottensmeyer led the Bearcats with 57 goals (third at the school) and 67 points in her senior season. She recorded a goal in every game, with 13 of those being hat tricks. The Missouri native notched a career-high six goals twice, against Louisville and Ohio State.
Both Callaghan and Ottensmeyer were also named Honorable Mention All-Americans at the conclusion of last season.
