CINCINNATI – Jalen Haynes, a graduate forward on the Cincinnati men’s basketball team, underwent successful surgery at University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a knee injury suffered recently, head coach Wes Miller announced Thursday. Haynes is undergoing rehabilitation with no set timetable for return.
Haynes, a veteran of 77 career games, was an All-Atlantic 10 First Team selection last year at George Mason after averaging 14.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. For his career, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native has averaged 12.7 points and six boards per contest across stops at Virginia Tech, East Tennessee State and last year with the Patriots.
The Bearcats open the regular season against Western Carolina at 7 p.m. Monday at Fifth Third Arena.
