CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s golf team has signed standouts Brady Ray and Eli Wessel for the 2026-27 season, head coach Doug Martin announced Wednesday.

“We are very excited to add Brady and Eli to our 2026 class,” Martin said. “They both bring tremendous explosiveness and a desire to be great. The two have bright futures here at Cincinnati and I look forward to helping them develop both on and off the course.”

Ray, from Franklin, Tenn., and Battle Ground Academy, recently tied for third at the TSSAA Division II State Championship, going 71-69 to finish at 4-under after a runner-up finish at the event a year ago. He notched six top-five finishes on the Sneds Tour last year and won the Open at Henry Horton.

Wessel, whose brother, Leo, is a sophomore this year for the Bearcats, is from Guerin Catholic High School in Indianapolis. Currently ranked 94th in the American Junior Golf Association rankings, Wessel notched a runner-up finish at the Circle K Junior Championship in June before a fourth-place finish at the Justin Thomas Junior Championship in July. Wessel was coming off medalist honors at the Harrison Regional of the IHSAA State Tournament and, alongside his brother, had previously teamed up to win the 2023 IHSAA State Championship.
