UCF opened the first set with a 3-0 run, but Cincinnati quickly responded with four straight points, capitalizing on three Knight errors to take a 5-4 lead. Despite a late UCF push, Cincinnati held on to take the opening set, 25-21.

The decisive third set featured several lead changes before a Glendinning kill sparked a 3-0 Bearcat run to go up 10-9. Sigman tied the score at 14-all, and a 5-1 surge put UC ahead 22-18. Cincinnati sealed the sweep with a 25-22 victory.
