CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s basketball team takes on Clemson in the Greenville Winter Invitational at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville. The game will be televised on ESPN and broadcast on 1360 WSAI and the TuneIn app.

- The 2025-26 campaign marks the 125th season of competition for Cincinnati men’s basketball, and the Bearcats will commemorate the milestone with a year-long celebration honoring the program’s rich history, iconic players and cultural legacy. Cincinnati men’s basketball, which was named a top-10 program in college basketball history by the Associated Press, boasts 44 All-Americans, 41 conference titles, six Final Four appearances and back-to-back national championships across its history, which dates back to the 1901-02 season.
- Cincinnati, allowing just 65.5 points per game defensively, ranks 10th nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. Cincinnati also ranks fifth in the country in non-steal turnover percentage (10.9%), 13th in opponent effective field goal percentage (44.3%) 14th in opponent offensive rebound percentage (24.6%) and 14th in block percentage (16.0%).
- Cincinnati has found itself playing with pace offensively and forcing its opponents to play more deliberately on the opposite end. The Bearcats sit 24th nationally in average offensive possession length at 15.2 seconds and their opponents are taking 17.6 seconds per possession on the other end, good for 258th-fastest nationally.
- The Bearcats rank second in the Big 12 in blocks (5.45), third in opponent field goal percentage (38.4%), third in opponent 3-point percentage (28.3%), fourth in turnovers forced per game (15.5) and tops in the conference with a 75.4% defensive rebound percentage.
- Despite missing the NJIT and Eastern Michigan games with an injury, senior forward Baba Miller sees himself among the best nationally and in the Big 12. Miller is tied for seventh nationally and tops in the Big 12 in double-doubles with six, first nationally with 8.56 defensive rebounds per contest and fifth in the country and first in the conference with 11.0 total rebounds per game. He ranks second in the nation in defensive rebounding percentage at 31.4%.
- Graduate guard Day Day Thomas ranks third in the Big 12 and 27th nationally with a 45.9% 3-point percentage while leading the Big 12 and ranking ninth in the country with a 94.4% free-throw percentage.
- The game will be the sixth all-time meeting between the Bearcats and Tigers, with Cincinnati winning four of five. The series dates back to a 42-16 Bearcat victory Dec. 17, 1927 in Cincinnati, with Cincinnati winning the last meeting, 79-56, Dec. 17, 2003 at Shoemaker Center. In that contest, Jason Maxiell paced the Bearcats with 20 points, eight boards and five blocks, while Field Williams poured in 17.
- Led by 16th-year head coach Brad Brownell, Clemson is 9-3 on the year and receiving votes in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches Polls. Senior forward RJ Godfrey leads Clemson with 11.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, while graduate guard Jestin Porter pours in 10.4 points per game and junior forward Carter Welling averages 10.3 points and 5.6 boards per game. The Tigers lead the ACC and rank fourth nationally with just 9.0 turnovers per game, lead the conference and sit sixth in the country in 3-point percentage defense at 26.3% and tops in the conference and 22nd nationally in bench points with 36.1 per game.
