CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s basketball team returns home to face Colorado at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. The game will be streamed on Peacock and broadcast on 700 WLW and the TuneIn app.

Wednesday will be the Bearcats’ Student Appreciation Game. Students in attendance will have a chance to go home with a plethora of prizes including AirPods, a speaker, spikeball set, jersey and other swag. The Wonderdog frisbee dog show also will perform at halftime.

- The 2025-26 campaign marks the 125th season of competition for Cincinnati men’s basketball, and the Bearcats will commemorate the milestone with a year-long celebration honoring the program’s rich history, iconic players and cultural legacy. Cincinnati men’s basketball, which was named a top-10 program in college basketball history by the Associated Press, boasts 44 All-Americans, 41 conference titles, six Final Four appearances and back-to-back national championships across its history, which dates back to the 1901-02 season.
- Cincinnati, allowing just 65.8 points per game defensively, ranks eighth nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. Cincinnati also ranks second in the country in non-steal turnover percentage (10.8%), third in opponent offensive rebound percentage (23.4%) and 19th in block percentage (14.7%).
- Cincinnati has found itself forcing its opponents to play more deliberately on the offensive end. The Bearcats’ opponents are taking 17.8 seconds per possession, good for 282nd nationally.
- The Bearcats ranks second in the Big 12 in 3-point attempts per game (28.5), while ranking fourth in the conference in scoring defense (65.8), turnovers forced per game (14.56), assists per game (17.4) and 3-pointers per game (8.9) and fifth in blocks per game (4.9) and defensive rebounds per game (27.00).
- Despite missing the NJIT and Eastern Michigan games with an injury, senior forward Baba Miller sees himself among the best nationally and in the Big 12. Miller is tied for 21st nationally and second in the Big 12 in double-doubles with seven, while sitting first in the conference and second nationally with 8.43 defensive rebounds per contest and ninth in the country and second in the conference with 10.6 total rebounds per game. He leads the nation in defensive rebounding percentage at 32.4%.
- Graduate guard Day Day Thomas ranks fourth in the Big 12 and 17th nationally with a 45.1% 3-point percentage. He has slipped just below the minimum free throws made per game to qualify but would lead the Big 12 and rank in the Top 25 nationally in free-throw percentage if qualified.
- Cincinnati holds an 8-1 lead in the all-time series with Colorado and has won all three games played in Cincinnati. The two schools had not met for 43 years prior to last season’s contest in Boulder, a 68-62 Bearcats’ victory. Simas Lukosius scored 16 points to lead four Bearcats in double-figures, and Cincinnati led for all but 19 seconds in the win.
- Led by 16th-year head coach Tad Boyle, Colorado is 12-4 on the season and 2-1 in Big 12 play with wins at Arizona State and over Utah, before a 73-71 defeat to No. 14 Texas Tech Saturday in Boulder. Senior guard Isaiah Johnson has come off the bench in all 16 contests to lead four Buffaloes in double figures scoring at 15.9 points per game. Sophomore forward Sebastian Rancik averages 13.9 points and 5.6 boards per game and junior guard Barrington Hargress pours in 13.6 points per game and is shooting 52.8% from deep. Junior forward Bangot Dak chips in with 11.4 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game.
