CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team travels to face the Indiana Hoosiers at 12:00 p.m. inside the IU Tennis Center on Jan 31.
The Bearcats (2-0) look to continue the momentum they built last weekend during their home doubleheader after defeating Chicago State, 7-0 and Cleveland State, 4-3.
Senior Rozalia Gruszczynska, Juniors Sakurako Watanabe and Gabrielle Guenther and freshman Tara Kurepa are off to a hot 4-0 start in singles for the Bearcats.
Gruszczynska, the Krakow, Poland native is leading the charge for Cincinnati. Last weekend, she defeated Chicago State’s Camila Sanchez 6-1, 6-2 and finished off the doubleheader by taking down Cleveland State’s Jenna Redmile 7-6, 6-3.

The Hoosiers are off to a 2-0 start on the season after earning wins against both Kennesaw State, 5-2 and Butler, 4-0 in a doubleheader matchup on Jan 23.
Freshman Alessandra Teodosescu is leading the Hoosiers momentum with a 4-0 start in singles in the doubleheader. She defeated Kennesaw State’s Sofia Madrid 6-2, 6-2 and Butler’s Chase Metcalf 6-0, 61.
Indiana finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 8-15, 2-11 in the Big Ten Conference.
