CINCINNATI — University of Cincinnati lacrosse sophomore attacker Paige Selhorn was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Bearcats were picked fifth overall in the preseason poll. Florida claimed the top spot, with 25 of the 26 first-place votes, while Arizona State received the remaining vote.

Selhorn is coming off an outstanding freshman campaign in which she earned a unanimous selection to the 2025 Big 12 All-Newcomer team and also collected two Big 12 Freshman Player of the Week honors.

A native of Westbury, N.Y., Selhorn led Cincinnati in assists with 45, ranking 16th nationally in Division I. Her 45 assists marked the second-most in a single season in program history and already place her third all-time in career assists at UC.

Last season, she finished third in the Big 12 in assists per game (2.65) and recorded four or more assists in five games. Selhorn was also the only freshman nationally to rank in the top 20 in both total assists (16th) and assists per game (18th).

In addition to her playmaking, Selhorn led the Bearcats in points (65) and ranked third on the team in goals (20) and ground balls (25).
