The Cincinnati athletics department's 3.5414 collective GPA this fall marked the third-straight record-breaking semester, and that included 87 percent of student-athletes obtaining at least a 3.0 mark, also a record.
Four teams also set new standards: baseball (3.5768), men's basketball (3.4992), women's swimming and diving (3.7665) and volleyball (3.8217).
Golf and tennis (3.8791 in the latter) marked the top men's and women's marks, respectively.
Cincinnati now has 35-straight grading periods of a 3.0 or better, including 16 consecutive at 3.3 and six of a 3.4 or above. Fifty-nine Bearcats posted a 4.0.
