CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team opens a five-day road swing on Saturday at Utah. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET in Salt Lake City.

THE RUNDOWN

  • Cincinnati rolled to a 77-61 win over Arizona on Tuesday, marking the Bearcats’ second-largest Big 12 victory since joining the league in 2023-24, with five players scoring in double figures.
  • Redshirt sophomore Ramiyah Byrd starred in her first career start, posting career highs of 14 points and 15 rebounds for her second double-double, plus two assists and two steals — just the third Bearcat to record that stat line since 1999. She was the only player available at the four position due to injuries.
  • Joining Byrd in double figures were Reagan Jackson (19), Mya Perry (17), Joya Crawford (12) and Caliyah DeVillasee (10). It marked the second time this season five Bearcats have scored in double figures.
  • Cincinnati dominated the glass, outrebounding Arizona 49-29 and recording 20+ offensive rebounds for the second straight game, fueling a 22-2 advantage in second-chance points.
  • Perry knocked down a Big 12-high five three-pointers against Arizona and finished with 17 points. She has made at least three triples in 12 games and scored in double figures 23 times this season. She sits one three-pointer shy of cracking UC’s single-season top-10 list.
  • Jackson poured in a Big 12-high 19 points, drew seven fouls and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the line vs. Arizona. She has reached double figures in 13 games.
  • DeVillasee has scored in double figures in 19 of 21 games, including six straight. She finished Tuesday with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
  • Perry was one of just four Big 12 players to post multiple 20-point performances last week and now has nine on the season, tied for the sixth-most in the league.
  • Perry ranks fifth in the Big 12 in scoring (17.2 ppg) and remains one of the league’s top perimeter threats, ranking second in both made three-pointers (65) and threes per game (2.6). She is one of eight Power 4 players with 400+ points and 60+ made threes this season.
  • DeVillasee ranks 10th in the Big 12 in scoring (15.8), 10th in field goal percentage (.421) and 11th in assists (4.1) this season. Her five 20-point games are the most by a Cincinnati freshman since 2002-03 and the second-most by a Big 12 freshman this season.
  • Freshman Kylie Torrence ranks eighth in the Big 12 in rebounds (7.3 rpg) and 10th in blocks (1.1 bpg). She is one of nine freshmen nationally averaging at least eight points, seven rebounds and one block per game.
  • Nationally among freshmen, DeVillasee ranks seventh in scoring (15.5), eighth in assists (4.1) and sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6). She is one of four freshmen averaging at least 15 points, four assists and three rebounds per game.
  • The Bearcats have outrebounded their opponents in 19 games this season and rank first in the Big 12 and 35th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (14.6), along with fourth in the league in total rebounds per game (40.2).
  • DeVillasee’s 86 assists this season are the most by a Bearcat since Akira Levy recorded 151 in 2021-22.
  • In Big 12 play, Perry ranks second in the league in both threes per game (2.7) and three-point percentage (.380), hitting at least three triples in eight conference games.
  • Cincinnati has held the free throw advantage in 14 games this season and ranks fourth in the Big 12 in free throws made per game (14.5). Reagan Jackson is fourth in the league in free throw percentage (.839).
  • Perry’s season-opening double-figure scoring streak came to an end at 19 games. The run was the longest to start a season by a Bearcat since Debbie Merrill in 2002-03.
  • The Bearcats are 9-1 this season when holding opponents to 69 points or fewer.
