CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team returns to action at the Texas Golf Throwdown, hosted by Sam Houston State, on Monday and Tuesday.

The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,311-yard The Woodlands Country Club. Play begins with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start both days. Monday features 36 continuous holes, followed by the third and final round on Tuesday.

Cincinnati’s lineup includes Mar Garcia Jimenez, Rim Imni, Ellise Rymer, Yu-Wei Chiang and Clara Willem, while Angela Gomez will compete as an individual.

The 14-team field consists of Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee, Montana State, Murray State, Nebraska, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, St. Thomas, Tarleton State, Texas State and UT Arlington.

The Bearcats are coming off a strong finish at the FAU Paradise Invitational, where they posted their lowest round of the season. After trimming 31 strokes in the second round, Cincinnati closed with a 286 (-2) to finish tied for 11th.

Mar Garcia Jimenez paced the Bearcats, carding an even-par 72 in the final round to finish tied for 33rd. Rim Imni followed with a season-low, three-under 69 — the first bogey-free round of her career.
