CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis program welcomes Butler this weekend at 1:30 p.m. inside the Western Athletic Club on Saturday, Feb 21.

The Bearcats moved to 4-2 on their season after falling to Ball State at home this past Wednesday.
Ball State took the doubles point claiming victories on courts No. 1 and No. 3. The junior duo of Morgan Pyrz and Sakurako Watanabe had the only doubles win against Gabriella Barrera and Alana Bristow (6-4) on court No. 2.
Gabrielle Guenther brought the energy back for the Bearcats claiming the first singles win (6-1, 6-2) on court No. 1 against Bristow. Followed by another UC singles victory, Milica Popovski earned her fifth singles win this season taking down Barrera (6-1, 6-4) on court No. 6.
The Bearcats could not overcome for the victory during singles play with the Cardinals claiming three singles wins on courts No. 4, No. 3 and No. 5.

Butler finished their 2024-25 season with a record of 9-13, 4-3 in the Big East conference.
Butler is coming to Cincinnati with a 3-8 record and off a loss from Illinois State on Wednesday, Feb 18. The Bulldogs have dropped four-straight matches looking to end that streak on Saturday.
The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs with a 11-1 advantage. The last matchup between the two programs was last season where UC swept Butler (7-0) on Feb 1, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
