CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis program dominated Butler, 7-0, at the Western Athletic Club in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday.

Butler claimed the first doubles win on court No. 3, but Cincinnati answered back by securing wins on the last two courts for the doubles point. Morgan Pyrz and Sakurako Watanabe recorded the first doubles win for the Bearcats on court No. 2 against Lauren Cook and Sophie Parr, 6-4. 

Rozalia Gruszczynska and Anastasija “Ana” Arsic finished last in doubles play with a thrilling 7-5 victory to capture the doubles point for UC.

Cincinnati kept its energy high with Tara Kurepa earning the first singles win in a quick 6-1, 6-1 match on court No. 5 versus Sienna Miles.

Milica Popovski took the second singles victory on court No. 6 followed by Anastasija “Ana” Arsic claiming another win on court No. 4 against Cook to bring the Bearcats to 4-0 for the win.

Gabrielle Guenther tallied a singles victory on court No. 1 (6-4, 6-2), while Gruszczynska secured the 7-0 sweep for Cincinnati with the last singles win on court No. 2 over Brooke Arington.
