CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team wraps up its home slate Wednesday night against No. 11-ranked TCU. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Fifth Third Arena.

THE RUNDOWN

  • Cincinnati plays its final home game of the regular season when league leader TCU comes to Fifth Third Arena. The Horned Frogs sit atop the Big 12 standings at 13-3 and have won four straight.
  • The Bearcats close the regular season with two Quad 1 opportunities against No. 11 TCU and No. 17 West Virginia. The Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament is set for March 4-9 in Kansas City, Mo.
  • Cincinnati went 2-0 last week with wins over BYU and UCF. The Bearcats sit 13th in the league standings with two games remaining.
  • UC earned a 73-60 Senior Day victory over UCF on Saturday, its sixth straight win over the Knights. Destiny Thomas led four Bearcats in double figures with a season-high 12 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting performance.
  • Mya Perry averaged 23.5 points per game while shooting 43% from the field, 37% from 3-point range and 91% from the free throw line during the 2-0 week. She scored a career-high 32 points at BYU.
  • Freshman Kylie Torrence averaged 9.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in the two wins. She posted 11 points, seven rebounds, four steals and one block at BYU, then added eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks against UCF.
  • With two 3-pointers against UCF, Perry moved into a tie for seventh on Cincinnati’s single-season list with 73 makes. She is two shy of tying for sixth (75).
  • Cincinnati has emphasized rebounding down the stretch and owns a +9.6 rebounding margin over its last five games. The Bearcats outrebounded UCF 39-25 on Saturday.
  • Freshman Caliyah DeVillasee’s 97 assists are the most by a Bearcat since Akira Levy (151 in 2021-22). She would become just the fourth freshman in program history with 100+ assists in a season and the first since 2006-07.
  • Perry ranks fifth in the Big 12 in scoring (17.3) and second in both 3-pointers made (73) and 3-pointers per game (2.6). She is one of seven Power 4 players nationally with at least 450 points and 70 made 3-pointers this season.
  • Perry has made at least three triples in 14 games and scored in double figures 25 times this season. Her 10 20-point performances rank seventh in the Big 12.
  • DeVillasee ranks 13th in the Big 12 in scoring (14.8), 11th in field goal percentage (.414) and 11th in assists (4.0). Her five 20-point games are the most by a Cincinnati freshman since 2002-03 and the second most by a Big 12 freshman this season. She is one of three freshmen nationally averaging at least 14 points, four assists and three rebounds per game.
  • Torrence ranks eighth in the Big 12 in rebounding (7.1) and 10th in blocks (1.1). She is one of nine freshmen nationally averaging at least eight points, seven rebounds and one block per game. She has led the team in rebounds 15 times, blocks 17 times and steals seven times.
  • The Bearcats have outrebounded their opponents in 21 games this season and rank first in the Big 12 and 30th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (14.8), along with fourth in the league in total rebounds per game (40.0). UC has recorded 20-plus offensive rebounds six times, including four times in conference play.
  • In Big 12 play, Perry ranks second in the league in both threes per game (2.7) and three-point percentage (.364), hitting at least three triples in nine conference games.
  • Cincinnati has held the free throw advantage in 16 games and ranks fourth in the Big 12 in free throws made per game (14.5). The Bearcats went 17-of-20 (.850) from the line against UCF.
  • The Bearcats are 11-2 this season when holding opponents to 69 points or fewer.
