BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team closed the FAU Paradise Invitational with its best round of the week, finishing strong to place tied for 11th on Wednesday at Osprey Point Golf Club.
After trimming 31 strokes in round two, the Bearcats carried the momentum into the final round with a 286 (-2), their lowest round score of the season. Cincinnati climbed three more spots on the leaderboard on the final day, capping a steady climb that saw the Bearcats improve their position in each of the final two rounds.
Mar Garcia Jimenez led Cincinnati for the tournament, carding an even-par 72 in the final round to finish tied for 33rd at +5. Rim Imni followed closely with a season-low, three-under 69 on Wednesday, the lowest individual round of the day for the Bearcats, finishing tied for 40th.
Yu-Wei Chiang posted a season-low 71 (-1) to place tied for 60th, while Ellise Rymer (45th) and Clara Willem (77th) rounded out the lineup with final-round scores of 74 and 75, respectively.
