MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team fell to No. 17-ranked West Virginia, 118-60, in its regular season finale on Sunday in Morgantown, W.Va.

The Bearcats conclude the regular season with an 11-19 overall record and a 6-12 mark in Big 12 play. The Mountaineers improved to 23-6 overall and 13-4 in conference action.

Cincinnati earned the No. 13 seed in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament, held March 4-9 in Kansas City. The Bearcats will open tournament play against No. 12 seed Kansas State at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday.

Senior Mya Perry paced Cincinnati with 19 points, her 27th double-figure scoring performance of the season. She poured in 12 of her 19 points in the third quarter on 5-of-7 shooting. Perry closed the regular season with 530 total points, which currently ranks 11th in program single-season history.

Freshman Caliyah DeVillasee eclipsed the 100-assist mark, becoming just the fourth freshman in program history to reach the milestone and the first since 2006-07. Despite missing four games, her 103 assists are the most by a Bearcat in a season since 2021-22.

Cincinnati shot 42% from the field but was limited to 18% from three-point range and 58% at the free throw line. West Virginia connected on 58% of its shots, including 15 three-pointers at a .500 clip.

The Bearcats committed 18 turnovers, eight of which came in the opening quarter. The Mountaineers capitalized, finishing +25 in points off turnovers. West Virginia built a 21-point advantage in the first quarter and maintained control the rest of the way.
