CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis program fell to BYU, 4-3, at the BYU Outdoor Tennis Courts in Provo, Utah on Thursday.

The Bearcats secured the doubles point from winning on courts No. 1 and No. 2. Rozalia Gruszczynska and Sakurako Watanabe claimed the first doubles win for Cincinnati by defeating the Cougars Gracie Levelston and Karina Mohamed 6-3.
Junior Gabby Guenther and freshman Tara Kurepa battled to a 6–3 win on court No. 2 to clinch the doubles point for the Bearcats.
In singles play, BYU grabbed the first three single match victories on courts No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 taking a 3-1 lead.
Watanabe recorded the first singles win for the Bearcats in two straight sets on court No. 3 (7-5, 6-3). Guenther secured a victory in a thrilling three-set match defeating BYU’s Kendell Kovick (5-7, 7-5, 6-6 def) to tie the match up 3-3.
Milica Popovski dropped the third set as BYU clinched the match.
