The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team hosts Arizona and No. 13 Arizona State this week on Thursday, March 19 and Saturday, March 21 outside at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team hosts Arizona and No. 13 Arizona State this week on Thursday, March 19 and Saturday, March 21 outside at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

First serve is set for 12 p.m. ET on Thursday against the Wildcats and 12 p.m. ET on Saturday versus the Sun Devils.

Weather permitting, these two matchups could potentially be moved to UC's indoor courts at the Western Athletic Club. Follow our social media platforms for updates!

Cincinnati (6-7) comes from a road trip looking to bounce back after dropping two matches on the road against BYU, 4-3 and Utah, 4-1.

Gabrielle Guenther secured a singles victory in a thrilling three-set match defeating BYU’s Kendell Kovick (5-7, 7-5, 6-6 def) to tie the match up 3-3. The Bearcats fought hard against BYU as the match came down to court No. 6, but fell short. 

The Bearcats secured the doubles point versus Utah from winning on courts No. 1 and No. 3. In singles play, Utah grabbed the first four single match victories leading 4-1 to clinch the match.

// SCOUTING THE WILDCATS

Arizona comes into the match presenting a 10-8 record and a 2-3 record in conference play. The Wildcats dropped their last match against Arizona State, 2-4.

The Wildcats' doubles are led by the duo of Ciara Moore and Martyna Ostryzgalo. They present a mark of 5-3, playing on courts No. 1 and No. 2.

In singles, Arizona is led by Maria Garcia, who holds a record of 6-2 on courts No. 4 No. 5 and No. 6.

// SCOUTING THE SUNDEVILS

Arizona State enters the weekend with a record of 11-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Before coming to Cincinnati, the Sundevils will take on West Virginia (6-7) on Thursday, March 19 in Morgantown, W. Va.

Arizona State secured a victory in its last match, defeating fellow Big 12 opponent, Arizona, 4-2.

In singles, Sara Svetac leads the Wildcats as she has an 6-3 record on courts No. 2 and No. 3. 

In doubles, Arizona State is led by the duo of Vivian Ovrootsky and Emilija Tverijonaite. The pair holds a 5-3 record on court No. 1 and No. 2.
