CINCINNATI –The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team begins a road stretch on Saturday to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown, WV.
First serve against the Mountaineers is set for 10 a.m. ET on Saturday at their Schoenbaum Tennis Courts.
Cincinnati (6-9) enters the weekend looking to bounce back after falling to No. 13 Arizona State last Saturday, 0-4.
The Bearcats claimed early momentum during doubles play when Milica Popovski and Morgan Pyrz secured a 6-3 victory on court No. 3 against the Sundevils' Karsyn Evans and Vivian Ovrootsky. Arizona State answered quickly, going on to claim the doubles point and the first three singles matches on courts No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 to finalize their win.
The duo of Popovski and Pyrz have been hot in doubles play on Court No. 3, claiming victories in the three consecutive matches that the two have been a pair.

WVU comes into the match with a 6-9 record and an 0-8 record in conference play. The Mountaineers dropped their last match in a tight competition against No. 35 Arizona, 1-4.
Audrey Moutama claimed the only singles victory for WVU in the matchup, defeating Arizona’s Martyna Ostrzygalo 6-2, 6-, on court No. 1. Moutama is leading the charge in singles this year, as she boasts a 7-4 record on the season.
In doubles, Mountaineers Julie Bousseau and Zuzana Saxana Kudlácková have achieved a 5-1 record together on court. No 1.
