- The 2025-26 campaign marks the 125th season of competition for Cincinnati men’s basketball, and the Bearcats will commemorate the milestone with a year-long celebration honoring the program’s rich history, iconic players and cultural legacy. Cincinnati men’s basketball, which was named a top-10 program in college basketball history by the Associated Press, boasts 44 All-Americans, 41 conference titles, six Final Four appearances and back-to-back national championships across its history, which dates back to the 1901-02 season.
- Cincinnati, allowing just 67.5 points per game defensively, ranks 10th nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. Cincinnati also ranks 11th in the country in non-steal turnover percentage (9.4%) and seventh in opponent 2-point distance (7.1).
- The Bearcats rank second in the Big 12 in 3-point attempts per game (26.4), fourth in the conference in scoring defense (67.5), assists per game (16.7) and field goal percentage defense (41.5) and fifth in 3-point percentage defense (31.9), defensive rebounds per game (25.77), turnover margin (1.6) and turnovers forced per game (13.10).
- Despite missing two games with an injury, senior forward Baba Miller sees himself among the best nationally and in the Big 12. Miller is tied for 22nd nationally and second in the Big 12 in double-doubles with 12, while sitting first in the conference and fourth nationally with 7.68 defensive rebounds per contest and 14th in the country and second in the conference with 10.0 total rebounds per game. He ranks ninth in the nation in defensive rebounding percentage at 27.6%.
- Baba Miller reached the 1,000-point mark for his career with a dunk in the closing seconds of the Bearcats’ win over UCF Feb. 8, Day Day Thomas accomplished the feat with a season-high 26 points in the win over Oklahoma State Feb. 28 and Jizzle James reached 1,000 on a three in the closing minutes of the win over BYU March 3. Jalen Celestine (981) also is within striking distance with one regular-season game to play.
- Averaging 13.8 points, 10.0 boards and 3.6 assists per game, Baba Miller is one of three players in college basketball this season averaging at least 13-10-3. Duke’s Cameron Boozer (22.6, 10.0, 4.0) and Butler’s Michael Ajayi (16.4, 11.1, 3.1) are the others. No other Bearcat dating back to 1996-97 has put together that stat line for a full season.
- The Bearcats have won all but one of the eight previous meetings between the two schools, including two of the three games played in Fort Worth. In the last matchup Feb. 22 of last season, Cincinnati raced out to a 13-0 lead, Dillon Mitchell recorded his fourth double-double of the year (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Josh Reed matched his career high with 13 points as Cincinnati defeated TCU, 75-63, at Fifth Third Arena.
- Led by 10th-year head coach Jamie Dixon, TCU is 20-10 on the year and 10-7 in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs have won their last four contests and seven of their last eight after a 73-65 win at No. 10 Texas Tech Tuesday night. Sophomore forward David Punch leads TCU with 13.6 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds per contest, while junior center Xavier Edmonds pours in 13.0 points per game, while pulling down a team-best 6.8 boards per game. Sophomore forward Micah Robinson (10.7 ppg) and senior guard Jayden Pierre (10.2 ppg) also score in double figures for the Horned Frogs.
