CINCINNATI -- Track and field standout Juliette Laracuente-Huebner became the second Bearcat to earn Big 12 Athlete of the Week honors this season following her dominant showing at Texas A&M.
She beat her own school record, and now owns the top score in the nation, with 5920 points in the heptathlon at the 44 Farms Invitational. She now ranks ahead of two-time All-American Jenna Fee Feyerabend of San Diego State, who competed that weekend, among several others.
Laracuente-Huebner, a junior from Marengo, Ohio, also won the long jump and 200 while earning PRs in the 200 and shot put.
Her previous school record came at last year’s NCAA Outdoor Championships, where she earned one of her four-career All-American honors.
Kya Epps opened the indoor season with the same honor.
