DALLAS, Texas – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team opened play at the Big 12 Championship with round one on Thursday at Dallas Athletic Club.
The Bearcats finished the day in 10th place on the team leaderboard after the opening round.
Ellise Rymer led Cincinnati with an even-par 72 and is positioned inside the top 10 after day one. Her round was highlighted by four birdies and steady play throughout.
Mar García Jiménez, Clara Willem, and Yu-Wei Chiang each carded 77s to round out the Bearcats’ counting scores. Chiang tallied up three birdies, while Willem and Garcia each added key birdies to keep Cincinnati within reach of moving up the leaderboard.

Cincinnati resumes competition with the second round teeing off Friday, August 24.
