CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati men’s basketball team has signed guard Trevian Carson for the 2026-27 season, first-year head coach Jerrod Calhoun announced Friday. Carson will have one year of eligibility remaining after playing last season at North Dakota State upon the completion of two years at Des Moines Area Community College.

“Trevian is another guy who knows what winning looks like,” Calhoun said. “He played for an NCAA Tournament team and was guided by a tremendous coach. Trevian can play multiple positions and is really good in pick and roll situations and playing off the ball.”

Carson, from West Des Moines, Iowa, was an All-Summit League First Team selection after averaging 11.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Bison, who won the Summit League regular-season and tournament titles en route to an NCAA Tournament appearance. Carson scored in double figures 20 times, including a season-high 29 at Drake in December. For the year, Carson shot 48.0% from the field, 37.5% from deep and 80.3% from the free-throw line.

Prior to North Dakota State, Carson played two seasons at Des Moines Area Community College, earning ICCAS Player of the Year and first team NJCAA All-America honors as a sophomore in 2025, when he averaged 14.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
