CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team welcomes Arizona State to Nippert Stadium for the Bearcats' Big 12 Home Opener at 12:30 a.m. ET on Saturday.

// QB1
Sophomore Paige Selhorn continues to cement herself as one of the nation's top offensive threats.

The Westbury, N.Y., native sits third in the country in total points (80) and ranks 10th in assists (36) and seventh in goals (44). Within the Big 12, she sits first in points per game (6.2) and second in assists per game (2.8), while ranking third in goals per game (3.4). In just her second season, Selhorn has already accumulated 145 career points — fifth most in program history. She also turned in a record-setting individual performance on Feb. 20, posting a school-record seven assists and three goals for 10 points in a 14-6 victory over Central Michigan.

// DOMINATING THE DRAW
Sophomore Morgan Handzel has totaled 138 draw controls this season — 10.6 per game, ranking sixth nationally — and continues to rewrite the record books in the process. As a team, Cincinnati posts a .632 draw percentage that ranks sixth in the country and first in the Big 12, while averaging 15.6 draws won per game — 11th nationally and second in the Big 12. Led by Handzel, the Bearcats have established themselves as one of the nation's premier draw units.

On March 8, Handzel delivered a historic performance against Eastern Michigan, tying the NCAA single-game record with 24 draw controls — shattering her own program record of 16 she had set just two days earlier against Kent State.

// LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati fell in its Big 12 opener 15-8 against UC Davis on Saturday at UC Davis Health Stadium, dropping to 8-5 on the season.

After a back-and-forth first half, the Bearcats grabbed their first lead of the contest in the third period at 5-4 on a Paige Selhorn goal, but UC Davis responded with a 4-0 run and closed the game on a 5-0 stretch to seal the victory. Selhorn led Cincinnati with a game-high five goals. The Bearcats outshot UC Davis 24-20, but the Aggies' goalkeeper turned in a strong performance with 16 saves.

// SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE
Arizona State enters Saturday's matchup at 5-7 overall and 0-1 in Big 12 play after falling 14-8 to No. 5 Florida last weekend.

The Sun Devils lead the Big 12 in assists per game (8.00) and draw controls per game (17.00). Senior attacker Lydia Oldknow leads the conference with 43 goals and carries a 50-game point-scoring streak into Saturday — 49 of which she has scored a goal in — while Jordyn Behar's 41 assists also lead the Big 12. Sophomore goalkeeper Regan Spichiger owns a conference-best 88 saves on the season. Junior midfielder Anna Viglione was recently named an IL Women Midseason All-American Second Team selection and became the program's first student-athlete to appear on the Tewaaraton Watch List. Saturday marks Arizona State's first trip to Ohio and just the second all-time meeting between the two programs; the Sun Devils won the first matchup 14-12 last season.

// SERIES HISTORY
Arizona State leads the all-time series 1-0, as they took the only matchup between the programs 14-12 on March 29, 2025, at the Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium
