TicketsAMES, Iowa – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis program fell to Iowa State, 4-2, inside the Iowa State Tennis Facility on Friday in Ames, Iowa.

Milica Popovski and Morgan Pyrz got the first doubles victory on court No. 3 taking down the Cyclones Alicia Dale and Gabriella Kellner 6-4. Rozalia Gruszczynska and Sakurako Watanabe battled to a thrilling 7–6 (3) win to clinch the doubles point and give Cincinnati the early lead heading into singles play.
The Cyclones claimed the first three singles wins on courts No. 4, 5 and 3 to take the advantage, 3-1
Gruszczynska fought through three hard-fought sets, securing Cincinnati’s first singles victory, 6–4, 4–6, 6–2.
Iowa State then clinched the match on court No. 6 winning 4-2.
