The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team completed the second round of the Chevron Silverado Showdown on Tuesday at Silverado Country Club & Resort in Napa, Calif.

NAPA, Calif. – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team completed the second round of the Chevron Silverado Showdown on Tuesday at Silverado Country Club & Resort in Napa, Calif.

The Bearcats sit tied for fifth through 36 holes after posting a second-round 300 performance in a tightly contested field that features multiple nationally ranked programs.

Mar Garcia Jimenez continues to lead Cincinnati, carding an even-par 72 in round two to remain at 2-under for the tournament and inside the top 10 individually. 

Rim Imni added a 2-over 74, while Clara Willem followed with a 76 after her career-best round on Monday. Ellise Rymer (78) and Yu-Wei Chiang (80) rounded out the Bearcats’ scores in the second round.

Cincinnati remains in the mix and ahead of several ranked opponents, including No. 39 CSU Fullerton, No. 44 California, No. 45 Oregon State and No. 48 Colorado.

The Bearcats will close out the Chevron Silverado Showdown with the final round on Wednesday.
