CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s swimming and diving program collected two Big 12 yearly honors, the league announced on Wednesday.
Senior Joleigh Crye earned Big 12 Women’s Swimmer of the Year while Mia Hensley was named Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Crye led all female swimmers at the Big 12 Championships with 867.30 points. She cemented her legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats at the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships where she placed eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.59, earning First Team All-America honors for the second consecutive season.
Overall, she finished first in points in the Big 12 after competing in 12 meets. She tallied 13 first-place finishes on the season, including seven in the 100-yard breaststroke, three in the 50-yard freestyle, two in the 200-yard breaststroke and one in the 100-yard butterfly.
Hensley finished 11th in points for Cincinnati after competing in 11 meets this season. She recorded four second-place finishes, twice in the 200-yard butterfly and once in the 200-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly. Out of the pool, Hensley holds a 4.00 GPA and is studying Neuroscience.
