CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team will face the Knights at 12 p.m. outside at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Cincinnati (8-12) enters the match looking to continue a win streak after taking down Northern Kentucky 6-1 on Wednesday at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Bearcats swept the Norse for the doubles point from wins on courts No. 1 and 2. Gabrielle Guenther and Tara Kurepa quickly took the first doubles win on court No. 2 over Catharina Cardoso and Darya Gneidina 6-0. The duo of Rozalia Gruszczynska and Sakurako Watanabe clinched the doubles point for UC with a 6-2 win on court No. 1.

Cincinnati claimed the match after earning three single match wins on courts No. 5, 1 and 6 advancing 4-1 over Northern Kentucky.

On Court No. 3, Kurepa forfeited due to injury, giving NKU a point in singles play.

Milica Popovski dominated on court No. 5 marking the first singles win for the Bearcats versus the Norse’s Catharina Cardoso 6-1, 6-1. Guenther followed with another quick match recording a 6-0, 6-2 victory on court No. 1. 

Senior Isabel Pacheco clinched the match on court No. 6 over Caroli Can Der Riet with a 6-2, 6-0 win.

// SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS

#18 UCF comes into the matchup holding a 16-3 record and a 9-2 record in Big 12 conference play. The Knights are coming off of a three match win streak after facing Houston, Kansas and Oklahoma State.

In singles, Sophia Biolay holds a 25-8 singles match record for the Knights being the player with the highest number of singles wins on the team. On the doubles side, the duo of Biolay and Aya El Aouni lead #18 UCF with a 13-6 record.
