TicketsCINCINNATI – Ryan Ford, a senior on the Cincinnati men’s golf team, has garnered NCAA Division I PING All-Midwest Region honors, the GCAA announced Saturday. It marks the second-consecutive season Ford has received the recognition.
Ford finished the regular season with 11-consecutive finishes inside the top 20 before capping it off with another top 25 at the NCAA Bryan Regional. The Westfield, Ind., native finished the season with a 902-139-42 record (85%) and was also selected as an all-conference player for the second time in his career.
Ford, who shattered the Bearcats’ career scoring average set by Sam Jean with a 71.47 for his career, finished his career helping the Bearcats to five team victories while earning one individual title, 10 top-five finishes and 27 top-25 finishes. He is the only UC golfer to ever be recognized as conference freshman of the year, the first player to represent UC in the NCAA postseason three times and holds the program single-round scoring record of 64.
