CINCINNATI — Baba Miller, a forward on the Cincinnati men’s basketball team, was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft Wednesday night. Miller becomes the 58th Bearcat selected in the Draft and the first since Jacob Evans III in 2018.

“I feel like I’ve been through so much throughout my career,” Miller said. “All of the people who have helped me get here have prepared me for this moment. I feel I’m a versatile player who can guard different positions defensively. I need to bring intensity on that end and then my playmaking is a big part of who I am on the offensive end. I’m ready to get to work.”

Miller, an All-Big 12 Second Team and All-Newcomer Team honoree, averaged a team-best 13.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game as a senior in 2025-26. A native of Mallorca, Spain, Miller joined Duke’s Cameron Boozer and Butler’s Michael Ajayi as one of three players nationally to average at least 13-10-3 and became the first Bearcat to led the team in points, rebounds and assists since Oscar Robertson averaged 33.7 points, 14.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest in the 1959-60 season.

A three-time Big 12 Starting Five selection this season after spending his first three years at FAU and Florida State, Miller became the first Bearcat dating back to at least the 1996-97 season to have three 17-rebound games, while ranking second in the Big 12 with 13 double-doubles. He notched a team-high 23 double-figure scoring games, 17 double-figure rebounding contests and tied for the team high with four 20-point games. Miller led the team in rebounding 23 times, assists on 13 occasions and scoring in eight games.
