TicketsHertfordshire, ENGLAND - University of Cincinnati women's golfer Ellise Rymer captured the 2026 English Women's Amateur Championship, earning the biggest victory of her career after a standout week at Moor Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire, England.
Rymer won the championship with a birdie on the 18th hole, ending her epic run by beating Isabella Kent by two strokes. Both golfers held advantages on the back nine, but Rymer won it with a crucial approach shot and putt on the final hole.
The championship victory came just days after Rymer qualified for AIG Women's Open Final Qualifying, continuing an impressive stretch of golf before returning to Cincinnati for the 2026-27 season.
"It’s unbelievable. I feel like I’ve worked so hard on my golf over the last few years and today it all came together, so I’m super happy to win." Rymer said. “It’s been a dream come true. Playing well on Monday and winning here today has topped it all off really. This is definitely my biggest achievement to date."
Rymer completed her junior season this past spring, leading Cincinnati with a 73.73 stroke average across 30 rounds. Her second-place finish at the Pat Bradley Invitational was the highest finish by a Bearcat this past season and she recorded five Top-15 finishes throughout the year.
