CINCINNATI — Bringing experience from both the collegiate and NFL ranks, Eric Szczepinski has been named Cincinnati's Senior Director of Football Communications, Cincinnati Athletics announced Tuesday.

The Cleveland, Ohio native will oversee PR and media relations efforts for the Bearcats’ football program.

“We’re excited to welcome Eric to the Bearcats’ family,” said Senior Associate Athletics Director Zach Stipe.  “Eric’s experience as a football communications contact not only at the college level, but in addition to several years in the NFL, will be invaluable to our football student-athletes, coaches and staff. He’ll be a tremendous asset for our department.”

Szczepinski, who has spent the last four years working with the football program at Army West Point, including the last three as assistant athletic director for athletic communications, also worked four years in the National Football League for the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. In addition, Szczepinski has assisted the NFL with communications efforts for Super Bowl LIII and LIV. He is a 2018 graduate of Walsh University.

Stipe, who served as the main football contact for the last five years, will continue to oversee external communications for the Cincinnati Athletics Department.

Szczepinski comes to Clifton with his wife, Melisa, and daughter, Emilia, who was born in January.
